Top Deschutes Fly Guides on the lower 24 ?
Who would be on your list of the top fly fishing guides that routinely float from Mack's to the mouth ?
Thanks in advance.

Take a look at River Borne Outfitters. Great guys and I know they'll work hard for you and put you on fish. Especially a guy with the initials "SS".

I don't actually know the guy, just through word of mouth, but I'm gonna plug Jeff Hickman here. The guy puts in a ton of work for conservation efforts (like fighting the western oregon plan revision) so I think he deserves a shout-out.

Much appreciated CS.
As said before Brian Silvey, and Riverborne are the only fly guys floating to the mouth on a regular basis.
Hickman is a good guide and a good guy but they do not offer float trips on the Deschutes.

While not an iFish sponsor, my favorite float trip from Mack’s to the mouth was with a little know guide and outfitter. He likes to call himself "River Rat " Bo Sagdiyev (google him). We had a large party so he brought along his sister Natalya to do the cooking and provide entertainment when the fishing is slow. She was great fun as well.
The highlight of our trip came on the afternoon of the second day. Fishing has been really slow and I ask Bo if he had any secret weapons in his fly box. He said “I have good fly!” and pulled out this sleek looking creation that he called "the Nasty Natalya.” Well, I tied it on, chucked it out there and wouldn't you know it a big buck steelhead acended throught the depths and ate. I earned a High Five for that one!

I'll have to second this. Brian is an excellent teacher, and grills an excellent new york strip! His shore side lunch is second to none. Great guy to fish with

Lynn Sawyer if you can drag him out of semi-retirement. A guide that has spent his life on the river. Lives over out of Prineville now. Fish find that guy.

Lynn Sawyer is not even close to retirement. and you are right, he knows that whole river as good or better than anyone, with the education to back it up. You should all take a lesson in life(fishing) from Lynn and his crew. Let me know if you want number....

Lynn's not even close to retiring? He's the man! He's gotta a be over 60! Know one knows the upper river as well as that guy! I see him all the time Trout to Maupin, especially during trout season, not sure how many days he spend Macks to the mouth though.
