West Side Trout/Lake Fishing for kids

Howdy all,
While I've been doing my share of Steel & Salmon fishing in the Tillamook areas my daughters (all 3) want to trout fish. All but 1 are still a little small & inexperienced for the rivers.

Is there anywhere on the west side (within 30 minutes or so) or Hillsboro to fish for trout this time of year? Hagg is closed until the 1st Sat of March and my girls are pretty bumbed out about that. Even if I have to go east a bit, I'm up for it. I'm just not too sure where to head at this point.

Any help, suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated by me & my kids and we'll be sure to post a pics if we should get lucky.

Try Lost Lake its off HWY 26 at the summit or go to spruce run park and take the road there up the hill to the lake not sure how many fish are in there but you can fish off the bank or take a small boat and put it in not very big lake and I am sure that no motor can be used. I know there is some lakes over on the coast by Rockaway and that area not sure they are open try calling tillamook sporting goods store maybe they can give you some more advice on coast lakes. KK
