Default Rifle Scope "screen" or "anti glare" device?

While hunting with some friends yesterday, I noticed that on his scope he had a screen or mesh looking cover over the objective. When I asked him about it he said it comes with the new Nikon Predator Hunting Scope. I looked through it and there was no distortion or darkening what-so-ever.

I am wondering if these covers are available for other scopes, like a Leupold? If they are, where can I get one!!

Any input would be appreciated.

Rusty

As far as I know they are a Nikon only product at this time. They do seem to work good! Did your friend say how well the ballistic reticle worked? I know they are designed for the 223 or the 22-250. Oh how did you guys do, kill any dogs??

Leupold has some screw in lens covers that are colored not sure what they use them for but it may be the same thing?

Google Rifle Scope Honeycomb screen - sent you a pm with the link.

There is one that adapts the Buttler Creek Scope caps

Yes Leupold has them. They are called Anti-reflection devices. Mostly used in military applications, but you can buy them. You might check on their web site for a place to purchase.

Google KillFlash and your objective diameter of your scope. They started manufacturing them for ACOG's and other combat scopes, but are now available for many common threaded objectives.
