I listed my boat for sale in the boat trader several weeks ago.
I get a call a couple weeks ago from a local boat dealer that does consignments. This guy ask me if I am interested in putting my boat on their lot, for a consignement fee of course. I politely tell them "no" and that was the end of the conversation. Again this week I get a call from the same guy who identifies himself and who he works for and ask if the boat is still for sale.
I signed up for the no call list for a reason, so I would NOT get people to call me repeatedly offering me their service.

In less than a polite way I informed him I was not interested in consigning my boat on their lot and informed him that I was on the no call list and wanted to know why he was calling me offering his service.
His tone changed immediately and he informed he was interested in buying the boat outright rather than consigning it.

He then wants my address so he can come look at it, of course he doesnt show up
My question is: when you list something for sale in a publication and you are on the no call list, do businesses have to check the phone number before they call you and offer their service? I am sure this low life is sitting their at a phone calling every boat in the boat trader to see if he can get somebody who will take him up on his offer to sell their boat for a consignment fee.
It seems to me, he is in violation of the law while he is making me mad for getting those annoying calls again with somebody trying to sell me something.

Who runs the no call list so I can turn him in?
