Recent shootings in NE PDX...

Gang warfare...looks like LA out there tonight, cops everywhere.

One of the shootings was a real tragedy. A 14 year old girl was caught by a stray bullet. An even greater tragedy to me was the mother who was so upset this was going on. I can't imagine loosing my children, it would be catastrophic!!

I also can't imagine ANY DECENT PARENT letting their 14 year old daughter stay at a party until 1 AM, and then letting her walk home through what has been almost a WAR ZONE!! Take some responsibility for your children!! She'd be alive today!!

I had a letter all composed to the Oregonian, and thought better of it. It wouldn't have been published, anyway.

It's well past time for Vigilance Committees to take back our towns and cities.

TheRogue: She is alive. She was hit in the head but was upgraded to satisfactory condition today. She is having some movement problems on one side but it is getting better. She is an A student who dances on her school's dance team. While I'm a little surprised that she was out at that hour she is a good kid. They arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the shooting.
