Not really a recipe but I really like Spade L Ranch beef rub for anything beef. Tri tip, steak, ribs, hamburgers, etc.

1 part non-iodized salt
1 part black pepper
1 part brown sugar
1 part paprika
1/2 part garlic powder
1/2 part onion powder

Nothing fancy, but you can add what you want form there. I like some celery seed in there if I'm doing chicken.

The dry rub I always use is:

-Kosher Salt 1/2 cup
-Fresh Cracked Black Pepper 2 TBS
-Garlic Salt 1 teaspoon
-Onion Salt 1 teaspoon
-Cayenne Pepper 1 teaspoon
-Smoked Paprika 1/2 teaspoon
-Ginger 1/4 teaspoon
-Dark Brown Sugar 1/4-1/2 cup
-Dried Chili flakes - to taste

I change the proportions above based on what I am cooking and who I am cooking for. Some folks prefer it with more spice and less salt or more sweet and less heat...

Cheers,
Kyle

Go to Gartners and get the Bad Byrons Butt rub. It is great stuff or go to the website and find a place close to you.

Try this, works AWESOME on chicken:

1/3 cup paprika
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp oregano
2 tbsp cracked black pepper
2 tbsp Kosker salt
1 tbsp rosemary
1 tbsp thyme
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp granulated garlic
2 teaspoons of onion powder

Like crispy chicken? add more brown sugar. After you pull this off the grill, slather with Secret Aardvark Sauce!

Enjoy!
