Default The Newbie

Oh boy, first post... So I am new to fishing in the PNW, and my bro-in-law and father-in -law are both coming up for Christmas. I thought it would be fun for us all to try our luck for steelhead on the Sandy. But I thought we'd use an outfitter guide in a drift boat. Looking for recommendations. Please PM me. Also, is fishing the sandy around X-mas in a drift boat considered safe? I work in Sandy, but that river seems pretty fast pace for a boat... Then again, I'm new up here, and the only river I grew up around was the ankle deep Rio Grande...

Thanks alot!
