Default Anything going on in Santiam River?

I'll be visiting my inlaws in the Stayton/Scio area for the Thanksgiving holiday. Any reason to bring my fly rods? In the past I've fished the Santiam River near Stayton at this time of year and never hooked anything larger than about eight inches. If it's been raining the river is usually too high to wade safely. Any recommendations would be welcome. Larry

The river level is pretty high. River CFS is at 4790. Not much going on anyway. Trout season is closed and the summer steelhead are getting pretty dark.
