One hour is a tough request........ Devil's lake in Lincoln City is just a little further than an hour for you. Can be hit and miss thru winter.

Salish Pond in east Portland/Fairview
Getting There: East and West Salish Ponds are located at the Salish Ponds Wetlands Park on 207th Ave. and Glisan in Fairview, east of Portland. From I-84 take the Fairview Exit (#16) and travel south on Fairview Parkway.

Fisheries: ODFW stocks rainbow trout, including larger fish, in West Salish Pond on a regular basis. There is also a warmwater fishery in East and West Salish Ponds.
Useful Information: There is good bank access available at the ponds. Boats and swimming are not allowed.

Faraday Lake in Estacada is open all year. Bank only.

Devils Lake in Lincoln City. The weather is better in the winter, no crowds, and several rainbow holdover in the lake. I have also caught several Coho and cutthroat in the winter. These have to be released, but they definately put up a good fight. They must get in the lake on extreme high tides and can't get back out.

Lost lake above Spruce Run holds some big winter fish...I troll a #70 hot shot behind a 00 jet plainer....Always get at least one big one to come out from under the logs in the deep side.
