Default Tree falling 101 (pic)

Recieved this from steelheadslayer and thought I'd post it here with all the tree damage recently.

Step 1..do not park within tree length or any possible path it may fall.

Also noted..Just because we live within several national forest and can run a chainsaw does not make you a lumberjack!! [img]graemlins/dork.gif[/img]

The date on the photo looks like Feb 9, 2002... As I remember, there was a severe wind storm on Feb 7 or 8, 2002...so I'm going to give the guy with the saw the benefit of the doubt and assume the wind blew the big maple down on the pickup and that he didn't dump it there.
