My brother Allen and I hit Crescent early on Saturday. After many hours on the water with sunny skies and glassy water conditions we only had one small brown for our efforts. Sunday morning was much better with a nice little chop on the water and overcast skies. I hooked up with this chunky 5lb brown hen on our second pass of the morning. On the very next pass Allen hooked into an 11lb laker. Those lakers are fun when you have 300+ feet of line out and your in 15ft of water. as the morning got later I hooked up with four more hard strikes that I couldn't land. Then the bite shut off. Cold days and even colder nights but still a great time.
Nice pics. I saw your camp when we launched on Sat. I noticed tire chains on your Ford. The ramp was slick that morning. Crescent Ranger FS office said they plan to lock the gate on Nov. 30th unless they get hammered with snow before then.

Its bad luck to be superstitious.
My brother called the new owners at the lodge, its sounds like they might try and keep the beach launch plowed. We launched the night before and my brother didn't want to take any chances on that slick ramp, so he chained up the "Ford"
