Ran Oxbow to Sandy on Sunday and it was sloooow. Heard of two caught by a group with a guide but that's just an unsubstantiated guide report. Hate to say it but it sounds like all the action has been up high but cooling off. Maybe this freshet will bring some in to the lower river.

Fishing has been good all over the river depending on the day, One day up high, next day was down low. Talked with Jack Glass and he has been doing very well with clients. He has also already got his first summer steelhead this year.

I fished it Tuesday to get away from the clack for the day and we got 3 and lost one and they were all absolute chromers. Only one was a keeper. We floated from Oxbow to lewis and had little competition. The water was fairly clear but had decent color in the deep holes. Go get em.

Fished it today and never got a bite. Another fisherman told me to caught a large nate on a spinner. Rained like crazy all day.

Yes the Sandy River is putting out Chrome Steelies if you know where to find them and with the right gear set-up you to can land some fish. Floated Oxbo run to Dodge and landed six #10 range..all natives.
The Clackamas has been putting out some good numbers, this run is just starting to show-up but still allot of natives in the river. Landed five natives drifting bait from Milo to Barton. Fished Sandy Mon and Clack Tues from my Willie and left the dog home with my girl.
