Default My first rod--- Now with pics

Well I just got done with the clear coat. I'll get some pics up tomorrow when its dry.

It is a fiberglass 2-4lb 5' rod with black wrapping and silver trim. Should be a great rod for crappie

I already have blanks for 3 more steelhead rods. Guess I have something to do until the fish show up...

heck that one there sounds like a really fun summer steely rod, with 4 lb test and a 13 lb summer on the end

So here are the pics. It turned out great.
A few things I did learn:
-Dont choose black thread on a black blank for your first rod. It is almost impossible to see.
-Making cork grips is easy.
-It was smart to keep it simple, it looks good.

Ive tried black on black...that made me laugh, I tried that and had no idea were the thread was going on the second pass.Gotta love that rubberized cork, makes a good durable butt cap. Nice looking finish, nice first rod, now get it bloody and give it some Mojo.
