Thank you veteran's!!!!!
I took a chance on the weather and the holiday to make a run up to Crescent with a couple of friends that hadn't ever got a mack. We hit the water at daylight and started a troll in around 100' of water off of Simax and it wasn't to long and my friend Scott hooked up with his first ever Mackinaw. When I told him the day before that we would be going after fish that were over 30" and Scott's reply was, "No Way!!" As soon as Scott got a feel for what was attached to the other end of the line, he couldn't stop grinning as he brought this guy in....
We took some quick photos and didn't even think to get a length or weight before putting at back. I'm guessing it was right around 28" and 8 to 9 lbs.
Dustin was up next on the starboard rod and he got into some action nearly right away.

This was also Dustin's first ever Mack. We taped it at 30" and 11 lbs.
Scott got bit again after that and you can watch some of the footage here on Youtube....

This one was 34" and 11.5 lbs.
I finally got bit a while after that and got this little guy to the boat.
Dustin rounded out the day with one more that was about 28". All fish released to fight again. Had a great time on the lake. It was wintery and cold, but manageable.
