Bad Weather Broken Bones........
Just curious with all this snowy, slick weather how many were unfortunate enough to suffer broken bones or sprains? My 8 year old grandson ran into a stump and broke his foot while sledding last monday. Poor little guy :depressed: .

Re: Bad Weather Broken Bones........
I didn't bust anything but my toes got busted this Spring and the darn things get COLD a lot faster than the rest of them.
Sorry about your Grandson, that's a tough one on little kids always on the go.
I'm lucky, I never busted anything until I was 35.

Bruised the snot out of my forearm by trying to show my wife how I could "surf" down our front yard on the ice. D'oh!

Re: Bad Weather Broken Bones........
Not a scratch. But I was running around in snow boots for a few days. I also had chains on my car. Put about 200 miles on the roads during the thick of it in the portland area. Went all over the place. Saw many people out there unprepared. Went over sylvan many times and could not believe some of the people that would try to make it over without chains on an uphill sheet of ice. And those Ice chunks on the freeway interchanges were murder. I think I need new struts.
Good riddance.

Re: Bad Weather Broken Bones........
I slipped on the ice at Safeway and broke a rib. The x-ray tech said she had 2 broken collarbones and one broken ankle already that day. You know the phrase, "It only hurts when I laugh", this is where it came from, broken ribs!

One of the guys at work slipped while carrying a ladder at a house fire and broke his leg. The ice was terrible out in East County.
