Default Winter Battery Storage

My boat will be outside this winter. I have a built in battery charger that charges all three of my batteries when I plug into my boat. Is there any problem leaving it plugged in all winter? Thanks

As long as it shuts off automatically it will be fine. Some chargers have a continuous charge rate that will boil the batteries.

I was told by the battery manufacturers that when you "put the boat up" for the winter, be sure the batteries are charged then disconnect them. When you want to use the boat charge 'em up again and you'll be good for years.

I followed that principle and have had NO problems at all. (Fourth season on batteries).
