Default Best Drift Boat Kit for the $?

I'd like to build a wood DB and need some info on which kits to take a serious look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

montana boatbuilders, montana river boats, greg tatman are all great. Been involved in building a couple of tatmans, and building one from plans from montana boatbuilders. Stitch and sew is a great way to go unless you want a traditional wood frame. PM if you have more questions. radioactive.

I know a guy with a Don Hill that doesnt have any interest in finishing his, since his back and shoulder surgery. He lives near Everett, Wa.

Probably a good buy.

IMHO I say save some $$$ and just buy plans for a stitch and glue boat. Mine was a tank, bounced off rocks.
Also, you get the satisfaction of building it 100% yourself.
My boat a Headwater 14' by Tracey Obrien.
Good luck and post photos when you get started.

Tateman kits are nice!

Don't know if you live in or near PDX but if you do stop at the link below and talk to this guy. He builds a nice boat but also sells drift boat kits. Always been very cordial every time I have spoken to them.
They are on Multnomah Blvd in SW PDX.

Not a sponsor so I can't provide the link but this will give you the web site.

I'd go with Ray Heater (Ray's River Dories). He's kept pace with a lot of development in wood drift boats, and is a true gentleman.
