Re: Rollers vs. Bunks
When I got my 18' glass boat, the trailer had rollers. The rollers would leave black marks on the hull, and when loading the boat, if I didn't get the boat centered on the trailer, I couldn't shift it over to center it without backing the boat back into the water. Then I heard that rollers can make permanent indentations on some glass boat hulls. So I took the trailer to Marine Tech in Portland, and for $600.00 they converted it to bunks. Now the boat loads and unloads much easier than when it had rollers. Rollers may be good for some boats, but I like the bunks much better.
