Default Daughters 1st trout

Took my 3 girls (9,11 & 12) out for a couple hours before sunset to Hagg. We fished the Scoggins Creek end (took a while to find the water..WOW was it low). My 11 & 12 year olds had their chances and had fish close to shore but didn't land 'em. My 9 year old went 1 for 1 and landed this 12"er. Hers was on a special charetreuse power bait/worm blend with a touch of smelly jelly (sorry can't give up her secret flavor). Great day, gotta get 'em tuned up for winter steel

Enjoy these times with the children, they will return the favor when you get to be my age. Thanks for the memories.

Her coat took the brunt of the dirt. Luckily the weather was decent so that helped a lot too. They had the 1st fish, biggest fish bet amoung the 3 of them too (.25 each) so she came away a dollar richer thanks to her older sisters. We breaded it and fried it up today and it now surpasses all but Halibut as her favorite fish (amazing how much better it taste when you catch it). My girls are outdoor freaks, camping, hiking, fishing, all of it & are already looking for round 2 of their fishoff...They do have the pink poles..I can tolerate that trade-off
