My brother was travelling back home for the holidays when halfway through the 600+ mile trek he lost power in his Dodge Dakota while passing a car near Yreka. He could make fair time on the flat areas but could only do about 10 mph uphill and was limited to about 2300 rpm. He coasted down Siskiyou summit and went into Medford about 5 PM Friday Dec 26th and found directions to the nearest Dodge dealer from a gas attendant who sarcastically said "good luck buddy". It was just after closing at the dealer but found a salesman who got the last mechanic to open the garage and hook his truck to the Diagnostic machine. Some adjustments were made and the trouble was blamed on a temporarily clogged catalytic converter. Everything seemed to be fine except a quart low on ATF fluid. He paid for the fluid...........the rest was no charge!
If he buys another Dodge he will travel 300 miles south to Medford. Kudos to Lithia Dodge!!
