Default cork stain?

I was wondering if anyone has tried either Henna ink or a wood stain to put a logo on the cork? I've tried doing it with a flame and it's not turning out like I would like?

cork being so porous (sp?) I really think you may be in for a long haul in getting a readable logo with sharp edges.
I am trying to think of a way to seal the cork..apply some type of logo coloring and then seal it wih a clear top-coat.
Good luck and keep us posted.

How about burning it with a pencil tip soldering iron?
