DB launch under sellwood bridge?

Does anyone know if you can still launch a DB under the sellwood bridge? I would love to fish that area for springers and sturgeon in my DB, but don't like the idea of running (jogging? fast walk?) from either willamette park or jefferson ST ramps.

Stevo...You can launch at Staff Jennings right under the bridge,West side. I don't believe you can launch on the east side anymore.

Yeah, the last time I was down there the street on the east side had been blocked for some reason. The Staff Jennings "ramp" was still usable. A bit rough, but not bad. Piece of cake for a DB.

The east side of the bridge near Oaks parks is blocked off. Apparently this used to be a dumping ground for stolen cars. There used to be many cars that were rolled down the ramp.

The run up from Willamette park is a snap. There are trolling areas all around that area.

Barviewrocks is right. The last time the city dredged the area at the foot of the east side ramp under the Sellwood bridge it netted 20 cars. They decided to call it quits for that ramp from then on and cordoned off the area. That was sometime in the mid 90's.

Launching at Staff Jennings is still possible but I heard its a private ramp. Limited use is tolerated I assume; at least as long as the privliage is not abused.
