Emergency snow cone alert! :)
I have looked EVERYWHERE for snow cone syrup for David, for Christmas.
Does anyone have any ideas where I could get some?
Anyone know of even an active snow cone stand this time of year, where I might buy it from them?
Santa Clause MUST do the right thing!

Re: Emergency snow cone alert! :)
I finally found it online, but it would cost 30.00 to get it here by Christmas.
Santa isn't rich, here, and it seems silly to pay double for that kind of thing.

Jen,
Check out Uwajimaya in Beavrton. It is where we bought ours in the past. Call 'em to verify.
I beleive they have vanilla, lime, strawberry, and a couple other flavors. The price should be less than 5 bucks a bottle.
It is a very fun store to poke through and they have the best fish selection in the metro area.

We get ours at BiMart. It is a large membership type store located in some areas. They have tons of syrups and it is inexpensive.

I was thinking along the same lines, Stew. The Torani syrup is very good and the Fontana Raspberry sold at Starbucks is the bomb! Great for many applications.

Re: Emergency snow cone alert! :)
I was told that it might be too sweet. I thought about that. Do you think?

Too sweet for a snow cone? Is there such a thing?

Too sweet?? Nah ! That's like too Country. Are the biscuits too fluffy?? Is the chicken too fried...is the gravy too thick...are the peas too black eyed...Too sweet..no way missy  Usually in the process the syrup drizzled over the frosty white shaved ice trickles it's way to the bottom.. only leaving a tease of a taste....just don't let them finish it

Re: Emergency snow cone alert! :)
Actually, boys and girls... I talked to the kind of snow cone people way back East. They claim that koolaid is the perfect flavor, but it doesn't have sticking power, and just goes straight to the bottom.
The snow cone stuff has more sugar, so maybe it will work.
They say pop works well, so what is the diff between pop and koolaid?
Geez. I need a snow cone degree, now?

Re: Emergency snow cone alert! :)
PS... The snow cone people are no relation to the cone head people, just to clarify.

You can get that kind of stuff at just about any espresso place that serves italian sodas.
