What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
I thought it might be fun to see what people have on their Christmas list this year. I'll start:
I asked Santa for a winter steelhead drift trip on the Sandy, Clack or Wilson for me and my dad on the 26th. (I told him I would even trade a duck hunting trip for such a thing) The women in our family take off early the morning on the 26th to hit those day-after-Christmas sales. Traditionally, dad and I have always gone somewhere to bank fish (never drifted) one of these rivers for winter steelies.
What did you ask Santa for?
Merry Christmas!

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
Don't need no rod's.
Don't need a boat.
Don't need any hooks
Don't need any sinkers.
Don't need any line.
ALL SANTA WANTS IS MISS CLAUS
AND PEACE ON THIS EARTH.
THE OLD, AND I MEAN OLD RIVER-RAT.

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
I'm with River-Rat, except I'd like a new Mrs. Claus, along with Peace on Earth. I'd also like to see that my kids get everything they want. That would make me the happiest.

Put me down for a healthy baby girl in March, a driftboat, and maybe a dozen fish caught this next year (would imply having more time to actually go fishing!).

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
I want Santa to bring me a buyer for my house so I can move to a small farm on the banks of the Calapooia River...its 66-ac of the green fields & cottonwoods just above the nearest ponds...the white dot above the fields is the barn...house is in the low trees to the right of the barn...duckponds out back by the river. Earnest money has been paid...just waitin' for a buyer on my place.

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
I already got all I wanted for Christmas this year. My oldest daughter (I have two girls, 19 and 9) moved out on her own this summer and I have missed her around the house very much. All I wanted this year was for us all to be together on Christmas morning and she has told me that her and her boyfriend will be spending Christmas Eve night at our house and will be there for Christmas morning.
Oh ya, and some new waders would be nice to.........
Also, I've been on this web site for a long time and will be getting my "Chromer" status soon. I will make my 1000th post on Christmas day.
God Bless and Merry Christmas to all......

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
This is from an old Steve Martin Bit. This is what I want
Quote:
Steve Martin's Christmas wishes
If I had 1 wish this Christmas, it would be for all the children of the world to join together in peace and love and sing in harmony.
If I had 2 wishes this Christmas, it would be for:
1. All the Children of the world to sing together
2. $1,000,000 tax free
If I had 3 wishes this Christmas:
1. Kids singing together
2. $1,000,000 tax free per year for life
3. To have all encompassing power over the universe
If I had 4 wishes this Christmas:
1. The crap about the kids
2. $1,000,000
3. All encompassing power
4. 1 extended ****** to last 30 days, brought about by 2 supermodels and, of course, my wife
Let's face it, the logistics of getting all those kids together is impossible.
So, let's rearrange
1. All encompassing power
2. The ******
3. The money
OH! I forgot to strike down my enemies. Okay, so we add that in.
Now, my wish this Christmas would be:
1. The power
2. To strike down my enemies, may they die like pigs in hell
3. The ******
4. The Money
5. And with my fifth wish this holiday season I would like for all the children of the world to join together in peace and love and sing in harmony.

I'm with kokanee-killer. Less stress is all I want. That and make 2004 better than 2003. No deaths in the family next year, please. Santa can keep the material things.

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
Hey Ifishers, I don't know if it was me or Downtime that killed ORS's post but if we ALL can't be happy, I would like another Shimano to go with the Loomis that I don't need. It's a guy thing OK? I must be rubbing off on my wife. I called her the other day to tell her about a sale on Columbia coats. She comes down to the store and finds a pretty blue one and a nice black one. She can't make up her mind, so she tells me she is going to get BOTH of them! Hey, buy one, get one free! All I could say was, "Merry Christmas, Dear." Happy Holidays ifishers......

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
salmurai - hey thanks man! I agree with all the peace on earth, all be happy, good health and the stuff about the kids too...i have a wonderfuls wife, 4 great kids, a house, a boat (well, when it's running), 4 dogs, a church and a loving God. What more can a GUY ask for??
Well, I'll tell you - that day-after-Christmas trip would be nice  . Really, I've hinted to my wife about some misc fishing and hunting gear that I lack. I also have the opportunity to buy a new guitar next week. I guess I'll have to wait until next year to find that 12 ga. Silver Mallard I've been looking for. A drift boat would be nice too.
Merry Christmas and God Bless to All!

Re: What are iFishers Asking Santa for This Year?
well, I got the best present. A little boy named Wyatt. Next would be goodies for the new boat. I need a VHF marine radio, and an anchor retreival system, and a kicker. Other than that, I really don't need anything, which makes me feel pretty good.
