Default salem ifishers a question

can someone tell me why about 20 miles south of salem as you drive down the freeway you look over and there is another two line highway between the lanes of the freeway? i just know there has to be a great story about this thanks.

That's the old freeway. They just haven't finished the project.

I've been wondering what ODOT is going to do about that. It's been sitting there for 2 years. They used to recycle the asphalt, but I wonder if it's not cost effective anymore. :whazzup:

Speaking of roadside oddities, did anyone notice that archaeological style dig that was going on alongside I5 down by Kuebler Blvd all summer? Seems like a weird place to hunt for artifacts, unless you're looking for beer cans and hypodermic needles.
