Who has had it with our seahawks and blazers lack of ability to play on the road. I cant figure out what the heck to think about it.

Re: Seahawks
YOUR Seahawks and Blazers, maybe. Not mine!
The Blazers don't seem to have the ability to play anywhere. As for the Seahawks, I live in Oregon, not Washington, and for years I've resented having the Seachickens rammed down my throat by the local media. Take yesterday, for example. We could've been watching Dallas ( ) vs Philadelphia with a playoff berth on the line, or Tennessee and Indianapolis for the AFC South lead, or the surging Bengals and the Ravens. But NOOOOOOOOOO, like every week we get Seattle. It could've been worse- we might have been forced to watch San Fran and Arizona. Or worse yet, the Seahawks might have won.
A few years ago the local stations gave up on the Seahawks, and life was good. But then Allen bought the team and hired Mike Holmgren. Allen already has a chokehold on this town. He can keep his football team up there.
Ironically, this could be good. With Seattle on TV I don't spend any time in front of it.

Re: Seahawks
Don't worry 1pump..........when Portland grows up and becomes a real city, you'll get an NFL team of your own........or maybe a baseball team.
So you'd rather watch a team from Cincinnati than a team from Seattle? Sounds like a "little brother" complex to me.

Re: Seahawks
I'm with 1Pump I'd rather root for a team, although ablolutely miserable this year, from Oakland. Heck, I'd root for just about any team except one from Seattle.I too go sick and tired of having the Fowl crammed down my throat for years while they looked like buffoons, and there was no way to get away from them, and no one took responsibility for foisting them on us.I for one reallydon't care about Seattle in any way,but I do get tired of their snobish attitude toward anything that's not on Puget Sound. Let them watch the Fowl,I'll take anyone else.Just my IMHO!

Re: Seahawks
I'm frustrated with Seattle. I was hoping they would go somewhere this year and I'm still optimistic about their future. I've been a Hawk fan since I was a kid and my heroes growing up were Steve Largent, Kenny Easly, Curt Warner, Dave Krieg...heck I even liked Norm Johnson and he was a kicker.
As for the blazers I used to like them as well but the last few seasons have just totally turned me off. In fact the whole NBA makes me sick anymore. Just a bunch of punks and gangsta's in my opinion. I bet portland is having trouble on the road because the boyz have trouble packing their maryJ on road trips. Just can't relax and get yo game on without it. Withdrawls you know.

Re: Seahawks
Interesting article in The Oregonian today about Stoudamire. Says he now recognizes the effect that ganja had on his game, and he says he doesn't do the doob anymore. Okie dokie, then. We'll see, Damon. Cheeks has been impressed with his renewed effort so far and apparently Stoudamire has emerged as the leader of the team. Seems he's actually busting his arse in practice, and he's backing it up on the court (like he should have when he got here 6 years ago).
It's only December, and we've heard this kind of thing before. Jury's out 'til April, at least.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">There's only one team that I disdain more the the Seahawks, and that's Dallas. The only reason I wanted to watch the Dallas game yesterday is because they were playing my beloved Eagles, who obligingly sent them packing and secured a playoff berth in the process.
The only time you'll see me backing the Chickens is when they're playing the Cowgirls.
As for the little brother complex, it ain't me. Apparently everybody thinks we need to ride on Seattle's shirttail just because they're the closest team geographically. The local TV stations keep insisting that people want to watch the Seahawks, but I haven't found any of these people on this side of the CR. They also admit in the same breath that they field hundreds of complaints from NFL fans who feel the same as I. What gives?

Re: Seahawks
1pump, I am with you, I HATE the SeaChickens. I made a lunch bet early in the season that they wouldn't make the playoffs, too bad I didn't check their patsy schedule. At this rate, there is still hope.

Re: Seahawks
Whats wrong with the 49ers. They have the nost super bowls in the NFL. They are like the Yankees, everyone is so used to them winning that we they do have a bad season or loose they are dis-respected and over looked. Every team is enititled to rebuilding years. GO NINERS !!!

Re: Seahawks
I dont like the Seahawks either, now that they are falling behind the Rams they are not quite so bad. "Go Niners" had enough of them in the 80's and 90's.
I will enjoy the Seahawks this weekend at St. Louis trying to win on the road.

Re: Seahawks
I was bummed while watching the Browns lose to the Rams on Monday night. But the up side is that puts more distance between the Rams and the Seabiscuits, so it wasn't all bad.
The Niners are OK, except for a long time, especially in the late 80's - early 90's, we had the same problem we had with Seattle- on TV every weekend, all Niners, all the time. The poor folks in southern Oregon are still tortured with this, since a lot of their programming comes out of northern CA.
