Came over the mountain just before dark. Crossed the White river on 35, water was low and clear coming off the glacier , but so much silt in the river below , its probably dirty by Tygh Valley. We need a flush to get the silt that has been accumulating the last couple months blown out... Looks like that could happen tonight .

The river was off color this morning until about 11:00, then it cleared pretty quick and the bite turned on. One local hooked 4 in a little over two hours of fishing this evening near Pine Tree. It looked like the Wilson River in the winter time from Maupin up to the Locked Gate. I would guess close to 30 boats and toons on the water. Fishermen would tow their boat up and turn around and head down river. Not much pressure in the lower right now. Water jumped up to 57 degrees today and lots of fish moving this afternoon according to most of the fishermen. Should be good from now on unless it gets cold again.

We fished Heritage up to Lockit, water color was off but fishable. 24-30" of visibility.
