Default Kershaw Knife Sale

I went to the knife sale yesterday and was disappointed. I have gone for the last 8 or 9 years, and I have always found good deals on knives. It seems like they are having most of there knives made overseas now, and most of the prices have gone up quite a bit. I guess that might be a good thing because I only spent $65 this year instead of a couple hundred in past years. For those that won't get a chance to make it this year, they will be moving to a new locations next year.

That's too bad! I went the last few years and absolutely loved their prices. I was thinking about going there again this year, but I just couldn't wear out the knives that fast. If they do move and if the quality and the savings are not there, it will be a lost tradition for me. BTW, I think all the knives I bought from them were made in Japan.

I to went today and was very disappointed to say the least. My goal was to pick up some 9" fillet knifes for some of my customers as xmas gifts. The only thing they had was a funky 6" folding fillet.

The one bright spot was I bought 4 pairs of scissors. $3.00 each and were just the right size for cutting bait. One set for each boat and back ups for when they get lost or dropped over the side.

In fairness, the prices were not that much higher, but the selection wasn't as good as usual and a lot of knives were made in China. I know that they have been making a lot of there knives in Japan for a few years now, but most of the made in China knives were of a lesser quality than what you would expect from Kershaw. That's just my opinion for what its worth.
