Default Bass Temp ?

As lower willamatte cools with the aproach of fall at what surface temp is it time to forget about bassin? Or to put it another way when is bass season? Just curious. Thanks

Right now is when the big fish put on the FEEDBAG!!!

Most folks catch their personal best smallies in October, and November. Sometimes the bite can on fire, and then sometimes the bite is slow but the quality is generally great this time.

To me the off season is whenever the river gets so blown out that is no loner safe to go out. And even the I will sometimes still go out.

There are still fish to be caught even in Dec.

i would base it on the flow and height of the river rather than its temperature. I've caught LM in water about 47*, however that is a bit different than rivers. But i would go with what 1bigfish said. fish till its not safe anymore, or your tired of getting rained on
