Default Paulina Monster Brown!

Dan Stewart is up fishing Paulina for 2 weeks. On Monday, he caught the fish that haunts me in my dreams. This killer male brown taped 28 inches and weighed in at 13 lbs. Huge congrats to Dan on catching one of the most amazing brown trout I have ever seen!

Truly a photo that will live in infamy! We've all seen "classic" Paulina monsters over the years, but this one will go down in History. What a spectacular Hookjaw German Brown Trout!!!!
Congrats to Dan Stewart on his magnificent catch!

Dan Stewart is an incredible fisherman. One of those guys who makes you really wonder what special tricks he's got up his sleeve, or is he just lucky?... He's living right, that's for sure. A true sportsman and all around great guy. This makes his 4th brown over 10 lbs this year. 3 out of Oregon and 1 from California.

...I hope I get to retire some day

Congrats Dan on an INCREDIBLE hookjaw brown. I had the pleasure of being on a lake for the same week as Dan earlier this year and we had many a conversation on techniques and shared some fish stories. He works for every fish harder than anyone I have seen and is a fishing machine from sun up to sun down. Well deserved fish Dan ! ! Go get another

Congrats, DS! You're on fire. And just had it confirmed by (2) sources that he caught another one yesterday that was a lb larger than this one. That's his 5th brown over 10 lbs this year!!! Freaking incredible. Hard work really pays off and it's paying off in spades for Dan Stewart. Congratulations!

Well, I just got back from 3 days of fishing Paulina and Wickiup. It was tough fishing, but we scratched up a few to 5 1/2 lbs. The highlite of the trip was meeting up with Dan Stewart and getting the chance to hear his tales face to face. Indeed, he did stick another hawg hookjaw last Thursday... bigger than the first at 31 1/2 inches and 14 lbs. We got to see the beast in all of it's glory in the cooler. He is going to have both teener browns mounted together to capture the memorys of this "trip of a lifetime" forever. BTW, among the other nice browns caught were fish of 6,7,8, and 9 lbs! Congrats, Mr Stewart!!!

Here's the 14....

Thumbs up Re: Paulina Monster Brown!

Dan,

What can I say You have had a incredible year and you finished with two great looking hook jaws. It couldn't happen to a better guy. Thanks for all the updates and tips through out the year. Also be sure to send us photo's when you get the mount finished. Have a great winter and see you on the water next spring.

By the way,

Whats up with you catching these large hookjaws when it's blue skies and no wind?

I work at East Lake all summer, and when Dan fishes there, he is out at dalite, and he comes in at dark. His dedication is astounding. Its remarkable how he can stay focused during the slow times. He has helped me alot in my pursuit of a big one. Thanks Dan, and great Job.

Thanks Guys for the kind words. I'll have to make this short cuz I'm in between fish. I seem to be living beyond my wildest dreams, and my dreams aren't half bad. So if you see me snoozing out on the water, please don't wake me... Thanks again!
