Can't get the flu shot. In 1996 I contracted Guillian Barre Syndrome after recieving the flu vaccine. It's an potentially fatal auto-immune malady that affects your motor nerves. I had a "mild" case, and only lost 50-60 % of my muscle function in my arms legs hands etc. I was fortunate that it didn't seriously effect my heart and diaphram. If that happened, I would have been on life support.

Once you contract G.B.S. you are not allowed to recieve a flu shot.

O.k please bear with me for a minute while I vent. I'm sitting in front of the fireplace typing a gripe instead of working today. The reason is because several of the employees that I work with refuse to stay home when they are sick. For the last 2 weeks there is one person that has been at work every day even though they had Strep, followed bu some unidentified chest cold (with a fever). Well now 3 folks in my work center, myself included, are out with this crud.

I spoke with (yelled at) their supervisor, because he refuses to send them home. Argggh! Maybe he'll get sick ovet Thanksgiving, and it will hit home.

O.k. now I feel a little better. Time for another glass of O.J. and back to sleep for a bit.

Flu shots. I haven't had the flu since I started taking them about 10 years ago. I used to provide them free to all of my employees. It was a bargain.
