Went up to the Lewis on Saturday. The water looked pretty high. Somebody sail it was running 7000. I am not too familiar with that river but, My first cast with a pink first cast jig, the name proved to be true on Saturday. I had a take down next to the boat and missed it. A few casts later I hook a monster and I left my jig in it's mouth as I reel up in disgust. So we through out the plugs on get a take down I can't belive we miss. Got a couple more take downs on jigs and a couple hits on pink worms, but it was not our day. We ended up with no fish but enjoyed the beautiful country and weather.

Shoug, sounds like a great time!! Hey, do you know anything about a guide on the Lewis and Cowlitz name John Huston? Just curious - I need to schedule a trip with him. I have the contact info, but don't know anything about him

I fished with him last year a couple of times. Once on the Lewis and once on the Cow. Younger guy just getting started in the guiding thing. Works pretty hard and knows the rivers pretty well. There are probably better out there but I would say he is worth the $$.

KF 85 I have seen him a few times on lewis.

I don't know his name tho.
