Default Army officer west

Did he doing anything wrong..... Yes he missed. Given the circumstances he did what he had to. He saved lives, and for this they want to court-martial him. More cry baby left wing garbadge. Hes a hero for god sake.

After reading the story I'm not sure what your point is.

Suspend the Uniform Code of Military Justice? Shoot supects that dont give you the information you want?
Imagine what your doing is above all other things of common sense?

Just not seeing it....

<font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helvetica">Left-wing garbage? Hardly. Hero? No, just an officer trying to do his job in a crappy situation.
What really sucks is the military pandering to the media by offering up this guy as a sacrificial lamb. Tension is running high over there, and he didn't do anything out of the ordinary given the time and place. And I'm not so sure I wouldn't have done the same thing.
Ambushes, snipers and suicide bombings have a tendency to wear on a person's patience. Not to mention they have to deal with a hostile populace every day.
The incident seems rather petty given that bodies are starting to pile up all over the Middle East. Two bombs in Instanbul today killed 27 people (at least). One target was the British consulate, but most of the damage seemed to be at Turkey's biggest bank. When Muslims start killing Muslims, the lines get even more blurred.
Our troops shouldn't be in this situation, but it's a little late now.

Seems like he was just doing his job. I don't really want my Army to be kinder and gentler - this is why we send in soldiers instead of kindergarten teachers.

Pretty much sums it for me.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Got big news for you 1pump. Since 9/11 you ARE in this situation. Weakness and isolationism now and in the future absolutely guarantees that you or your loved ones will certainly be a victim yourself one day. Do you think the terrorists are going to go away and be nice nice from here on?

Time for a little backbone.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">I disagree. I'd tell you why, but we've already gone down that road. Many times.
Besides, we're talking about Iraq, not Al-Qaeda.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Depends on your definition of "weakness".
I've already been victimized. So have you, and everybody else on this board. By our own government.

Bad situation, yes indeed. But....as a (civilized) member of the U.S. Armed Forces, he crossed the line when he pulled the weapon. Many things are over looked during times of imminent threat but not this.
