Upper Willy, 10/5 (w/yfz450guy)
Fished a full day out of Travis' boat...had a blast
and we both landed a single 3 pounder each (don't ask
what happened to mine after I Iaconelli'd the fish into the boat)
aside from his other 2 pounder and our handful of other keepers.
Though it was a tough day, I think we would of won
Hunt n Fish's fishin the weekend had been in attendance...
...not too shabby for both our first time fishing that stretch.
Travis, thanks again for the ride and post a pic of your pig!

Don't be so sure about that. That was just a tough grind it out weekend. One of those boats return this weekend and the results were much better then the weekend before.
But if you want to get in on the action let me know. There might just be another one coming up.

Re: Upper Willy, 10/5 (w/yfz450guy)
Yeah man the Upper was on this weekend for sure.... we landed a 4.6, a 3.6 and quite a few between 2.5 and 3. They were all just where they should have been, unlike last weekend.
That is fall fishing however, it can be very hit and miss on that stretch.
Nice job on finding a few good fish

Agreed.
I just love seeing the smile on Tuan's face everytime he blows by me cruising down the river. You just had to get a faster boat than mine didn't you bud......

Joe most of the fish came with reaction bites, they were pretty aggressive. A few were caught on drop shots also.

Joe, Tuan is correct.... all our fish came off of cranks. Tuan crackered a monster off right at the boat with a drop shot (I was probably 20-30 yards from him and can still vouche for it being a beast from one jump).
I got one nibble on a drop shot and one bite on a jig but crankbaits caught all of our fish.

My boater was dragging a fluke and my big fish before shakey hit
bottom (10-15ft).

Sounds like you had a great day of fishing to me. And finding a couple of 3lbs your first time out on that body of water is saying alot. Myself and others were just pointing out that your partner was comparing you results to other peoples results from a week ealier. It can be hard to compare results of who did better from one day to the next let alone one week to the next.
As for the faster boat. I am sure yours is more then fast enough, heck mine only does 30mph if there is a stong wind behind me and I an going down stream. On a good day I can even out run a rowboat.
If you and PSK really want to know how you compare to other, then PM me you email address and I am sure we can find a way to do that.

Re: Upper Willy, 10/5 (w/yfz450guy)
Well I sat out last weekend & pounded the ground for deer. Found a couple real sweet spots that should produce later in season.
So I guess we'll never know how I WOULD have done.
But, I went out yesterday and didn't catch a bass. Did go 3 for 5 on silver slim rockets casting Normans to the bank. I'm pretty sure Tuan knows the color.
It was so ******** crazy I tell you.....OFF THE HOOK ACTION on bass rods!
Going back out today for more. (See even laid off, I can still bring home the bacon.)
Will forward pics to Dave LIVE.
Coffee's done....gotta go!

No way man, it took me many trips before I learned where the bigger fish could be caught on that stretch. I was serious when I said nice work.
I still only have a dozen or so spots that are really productive this time of year, and I have spent countless hours grinding it out finding them.
But if you do want to meet up out there sometime, shoot me a PM.

I just changed my profile! If it wasn't for Ryan I would have never picked up a boat.
PSK, didn't you have a bass boat before?

Hey Travis glad we all got a chance to get after some fish on Saturday. It wasn't the most productive day we've had on the water but it was fun.
