Default cork skrew swivels

Does anyone know where we can get the corkskrew type swivels that we use for sturgeon fishing. I use to get them from FMS but they have not had them in a year or so.

Good question! Patiently awaiting answer! We got ours in Alaska, and I like them a lot, but we did get a pretty limited amount!

Kinda like these with a plain ole' good quality barrel swivel attached. I have some that are made in Seattle, but can't remember who makes them.

FH,
A loop works better, I like to use a Perfection Loop. This is a heavy duty swivel that I use on tuna handlines made out of 200lb tuna cord.

Here they are, but without the three way deal. Just the barrel and corkscrew. Would like to get some more myself. Great for sturgeon baits.

Those brass ones are great for halibut fishing, however for salmon or sturgeon fishing lighter duty ones will work. Here is the link to them. http://www.tyeetackle.com/snaps.html#duo Mods if it is a problem posting this link please remove it. Unfortunatly no ifish sponsers carry these.

Enjoy

You can get crimping sleeves for tuna cord. I would say Englund's or Seattle Marine would be a good source.

FH,
Ray is right.

Perfection Loop works well.

The whole idea behind this type of swivel is that you dont tye it you can quickly change the bait by twisting the loop end of your leader down the corkskrew. although I have found that the type in the picture are hard to use because the leader has to be pulled very hard to get passed every turn in the skrew part. the type I am looking for only have 1 twist in them and cost about half as much as the brass type
