Ahhh, fruit flies. Get rid of or put away all fruit. They probably came in with fruit or veggies. I've had them from store-bought and garden stuff. Annoying, but not dangerous.

Sounds like fruit flies. Give this homemade trap a try.

Thanks Kevin! I'm plagued by these buggers every fall. I can't stand 'em. Even getting rid of all the fruit doesn't work because they'll go for lots of other stuff, too. (like the bags of bread my kids don't seem to know how to close )

I used to use red wine to attract an drown them. They don't seem to like that this year. I'll try the trap!

They like plants too, especially if they are well watered

Red wine? How gauche!
Everyone knows they're drinking only a buttery chardonnay with hints of pear this year. Half an inch in a proper glass is doing the trick.
I hope they don't switch to scotch.

Time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana!

Drink four fifths of a longneck beer. Leave the rest on the counter. Pour all the fruit flys down the drain in a couple days.

Default Little Knats in the kitchen

we have these little knats in the kitchen and can't seem to get rid of them. Thought I'd see if anyone else had any ideas before we call the Orkin man.

Thanks in advance

put your fruit and veggies in the garage if you cant fit them in your fridge, this is what my parents do, it stays cold, and when you want an apple, nothing better than a cold crisp one. This should solve your problem

Go buy a Redrider B-B gun and a big pack of B-B's, they make good target practice

Crabbait,

Nobody said there was going to be math!!!!!!!

Pouring a little bleech down the drains will also help put a hurt on them.
