Santiam Friday 5th ifishers
O.K. I am done with the Albany Sportsman show now, and was awesome meeting the ifishers that came through. Very Cool.
I need a head count of the ifishers that will be here on Friday, floating the North Santiam, especially the ones renting the Rapidcat pontoons. I have 8 cats scheduled for "fer sures". I have 3 more possibles and a bunch bringing their own. If the weather holds, it will be perfect. The river looks great, and know of a bunch of natives hooked this last weekend. Also heard of some summers caught down below. Kinda early and may be whopper fish stories, "But it could happen". Anybody else hear?
 Anyway, I need a head count. Happy Fishn' Bruce

Re: Santiam Friday 5th ifishers
I personally saw two fresh Summers caught yesterday below Stayton. With my own eyes. No story.
Have fun and be safe. Wish I could be with you guys as it looks like a lot of fun. Grant

Re: Santiam Friday 5th ifishers
RRiver The plan was to put in below the bridge at Mill City. Might be a little hard putting in a Driftboat there, but could put in at the Point, and meet us below the falls.
There is a few guys that have not weighed in, and if they don't, I'll have an extra rental. Happy to have you along. Happy Fishn' Bruce

Re: Santiam Friday 5th ifishers
Bruce,
as Rooster San said, We be there, rain or shine. I too am pumped
I am planning on being at your site about 8am. Fish on about 8:10 am then again at 8:20am. Then spend the rest of the day watching Rooster San spin circles
But probabaly more like the opposite will happen
See ya Friday
Due to other issues, I will have an open seat for the ride down/back if someone wants to hitch a ride and split gas. Send me a PM for details

Re: Santiam Friday 5th ifishers
Hey Letsfish,
Glad to have you along. Neo's are good with rain jacket. Probably be more water coming down over your head(rain), than will be coming over the deck. From the deck you can get as wet as you want too. I cannot control Mother Nature. Rods are up to you. I am not a guide, just another that loves the river and fishn'. Welcome and Happy Fishn' Bruce
 I am sending a p.m. also

Re: Santiam Friday 5th ifishers
Letsfish,
I'm gonna bring a couple of rods with me, one for plugs and one for bobber and jigs. Word on the street is the Blue colored wiggler is the way to go, although I haven't fished the santiam in many years.
If anyone with more experience with the santiam wants to chime in here and help some guys out that would be very nice. You can also PM me with zipperlip info. Your kindness will be repayed in kharma
Looking forward to friday !!!!
