I haven't been up to Marion in a long time, but I've fished it in the fall, and done OK off the bank.

What's great about Marion in the Autumn tho' is the absence of crowds, there's still a few folks around, but nothing like in the Summer, it's almost a different lake, very quiet and peaceful.

At least that's how I remember it.

If a guy was willing to backpack a float tube in there he would come out with a limit. Its not that hard a hike, you just need to figure out how to get the gear in there.

It's not a bad hike with a tube or one man raft. Really well worth the effort. There can be some great fishing up there this time of year

So how was the fishing? I caught and released at least 30 the last weekend in August.
