Default Radio

Just got back from taking my wife to go see the movie "Radio". I was reluctant going into it....but what a good movie. Cuba Gooding Jr was great in his role. VERY much a tear jerker, but has a lot of humor in it too.

Does anyone know whats behind the movie, I mean what really happend? The previews looked good and I want to see the movie. A little background on the subject would be good though. Just wondering if anyone knows the story behind Radio...

If not I guess watching the movie should pretty much tell me whats up.

I can't wait to see it. I read a brief article in today's Oregonian on the history of the movie and the articles (including SI) that have been written about 'Raido'.

According to the article, Radio is still attending the same high school and is as much a part of the school's history as ever. Apparently he and the coach (among others) were at the movies premier.

If you can find the article, it should motivate you to see the movie.

The screenplay, if I'm not mistaken, was written by mike rich -a(former?) dj on KINK radio. He also did Finding Forester and the Rookie.
