Like said before, Oregon State "Coug'd It".

Man, Lunde should definately be the MVP of the game. He was awesome.

A win is a win and we'll take it. We stepped it up in the second half and Oregon State just rolled over and died.

but carp - id say we should be pretty happy w/ #6 - the way we played against OSU does not justify a bump in the polls - and rarely does any one jump w/ out a loss in front of you to justify it.

considering Kegel has two bum shoulders I think we should feel fortunate he played at all. Just hope things start clicking for next weekend.

I'm with Stz ll here, no we shouldn't have moved up...... we're closer to a 12th-14th ranked team..... but what do I know? I'm no college coach or east coast sports writer......I'm just a fishing guide from eastern Washington, who's bleed crimson and grey for the last 23 years.

Well guys, the cougs are a very good football team but as a USC fan I have to say that you have a very tough game coming up in LA next week.

I think SC is one of the best teams in the nation right now.. They are young team that can beat you in many ways...Just my 2cents..

And you have to love that fight song..lol

Well it looks like crow will not be on the menu after all. There were many times during saturday nights game i could almost taste the black bird tho... I screamed myself horse either talking smack to the those surrounding us dressed in orange or yelling at kegel, reminding him we were the team in red... please toss the ball to fellow cougars, the team in red kegel, remember those are the guys on your team kegel, the guys in red.... ok i know hes not 100 percent but he made a lot of bone headed throws, the Cougars are lucky to have escaped with a win... It was a great day to watch supurb defenses play football.. I enjoyed the drama of Cougar football and liked not having to come back to this forum with crow on my breath... Go Cougs...

I sure wish the game was here in Pullman. The weather is horribly cold and the Trojan's wouldn't feel confortable not playing in their sunny 80 degree weather.

Yes, I suppose I could have a helping also.

I'll admit it, we didn't play like we needed to in order to win the ball game. On the other hand, USC didn't play that great either. If there would have been some descent officiating, we would have won. There were two bad calls saying the USC QB was passing when he fumbled the dang ball. The other amazing call was when the defensive noseguard popped offsides and nailed the WSU center before the dang ball was hiked and the blind refs called it a fumble. [img]graemlins/stupid.gif[/img]

There were a lot of people in Pullman wondering how much they got paid because it was by far the worst refereeing I have ever seen. The penealties against us were obsurd and there was nothing called on USC. I mean the anti-WSU ABC announce team even said it and Bob Robertson on the Cougar Sports Radio said the same thing. There was pass interference up the ying yang and a heck of a lot of celebration that I knew would have been a penealty if it were us. You can't hang on to a offensive reciever and get away with it except if you were a defender for USC today. It is almost like WSU is the black sheep of the NCAA or something.

Losing Genatone and our longsnapper was bad and caused us those two bad long snaps. Kegel has guts, but he shows no emotion and is all crippled up. Doba should have yanked him from the game. Josh Swogger did a heck of a lot more with our offense then Kegel did. Props to Drew Dunning for the career best field goal. Swogger is going to be great. He has better vision on the field then Kegel. Reminds me of Jason Gesser. Some of those sacks today were obsurd. A blind man would have gotten the ball away before that happened. :grin:

Defense made some big plays and choked on some plays as well. Will Derting is going to the NFL in my opinion. He is amazing. Scott Lunde was great as well this game and we should have kept going to him using the same play that stuck a fork in Oregon State. :grin:

Overall, there was some good and some bad in todays game, but we will be OK. So much for our National Title, but there is still a chance for the Rose Bowl and co-champions of the Pac-10. That is a heck of a lot more then the smack talking Oregon teams can say. What is the score??? WASHINGTON TEAMS 4 OREGON TEAMS 0 That is no good that both Washington teams crushed both Oregon teams.

DanS, I dispise your dawgs, but congrats on the win over the Daisy Ducks. :grin: See you in a couple weeks.

Krue, I see your Beavs made easy work out of Arizona. Congrats.

Interesting way the BCS is panning out. All I know is that any opponent of Oklahoma is in deep doo doo.

Props to USC, they are a fine team.

Lets hope for bad weather the next 2 weeks in Pullman for the UCLA and Arizona State games.

The Cougs can win these next 2 games, being @ home will help .

Congrats to OSU for a big win over Arizona.

Looks like the Ducks ran into a buzz saw @ UDUB.... I hope in 3 weeks the Cougs play the Washington team that lost to Nevada :tongue:

Bright spot in the game....Vancover's Scott Linde had a career day in receptions w/ 10 catches for 117 yards.

New ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll has Wazzu @ #13....thats a little closer to where this team has been playing.....#6 was cool, but too high... IMO.

Is that a common practice to do? We did it last week because ABC was so damn biased against us I was going to puke. All they showed was great clips of USC and all of Kegels over the season for a clip among other crap. Bob Robertson and company are great. Therefore, we have said we are going to do that for every game. Just didn't know many people do it.

Is it just me or do the ABC announcers talk down about us???????

Mr Carp, it's always been that way(ok 22 years for me) :smile: ... and a lot of other coug fans. Dosn't matter if it's on FOX, TBS, ESPN, or network TV...Turn the volume off and listen to Bob Robertson on the radio.

Dosn't matter if the Cougs are 3-9 or 10-2, Bob Robertson is the heart and sole of Cougar football....and coach Walden has been a nice addition in the booth as well.

Not bad for a team the Pac-10 sports writers picked to finish 8th in the Pac-10 :tongue: .....8-2 and a great shot to win out.

Dawgs = Dawgit!.....sure hope the Cougs play the Dawg team that played Nevada and Arizona and not the one who played U0 and 0SU.

I had to set in my truck and listen to the game on the radio, fading in and out on am 1080 Portland and am 1470 Centralia as they don't come in great in the big city of Salkum where I was staying.(fishin the Cowlitz)

How bad was kegel's shoulder sprain?

Sounded like Swogger had a rough time of it, didn't get much help from the O line and Darling and other Recivers dropped some passes.

Kudos to Wazzu's defense, they kept us in the game.....28 points off of UCLA turn overs.

Arizona State up next....I have a very good feeling about this game, but wish the offense would step up a little.

DanS, You guys need to get Mrs. Heisman (Williams, thats what our newspaper calls him) and the QB on a roll and take care of those bad call accepting USC. That way the cougs take the Pac-10. Unfortunately we would probabaly lose our Rose Bowl chances. Therefore maybe you guys should go ahead and lose. :grin:

Talk around Pullman is that Swogger will start against ASU. They plan on giving him most of the reps this week and let Kegel rest his shoulder. Josh had a tough game but he has a rifle for an arm. Given a little time , he is going to be a great QB. Reminds me of Bledsoe. GO COUGS!

WSU should slaughter ASU. The Devils just have't been able to put it together this year (remind you of another team?).

As long as Swogger plays a smart game, ASU just won't have what it takes to beat the Cougs..........as long as WSU isn't looking to next weekend already.
