Default OeDell's @ Odell Lake 2009

Checked in at Shelter Cove at noon 9/16 thru 9/20 to a vacant Marina and very few RVs. Asked about the fishing, not good were told. Great weather, water temp 64.5. Fished late after noon, caught a few at 20' to 30'. Best fishing was at day light, each morning averaged about 12 kokes. Total 72 kokanee 12" to 14", most bright cromers with a few turning dark. Smoked 25 Saturday, and brought the rest home fresh. All caught using lake trolls ( tried dodgers but no results ) at 20' to 40' best lures, hoochies all colors, Orange/Yellow Assian, Green wedding ring. 31 family members showed up at vairous times, had a great time with my 4 brothers and their families, and our Mother. Tried to get everyone a chance on the boat to fish. Catch was about 1/2 the kokes compaired to last year, but a great time enjoyed by all. Already booked for next year.

We love Odell at this time of year. And I thought I was the only one that used tuna oil on their corn. Give it a try and I promisy " you will like the results". Nice report and sorta missed out this year but still have not given up as I am hoping for a coupled days at Odell before November. May also try to hit Diamond on the same trip.

* FISH ONLY BITE WET HOOKS*
