Michael Moore Sells out our coliseum tonight

It was great seeing over ten thousand people to listen to and have fun with Michael Moore tonight.

A highlight was Michael trying to reach Lars Larson on a speaker phone. We left a message on his cell phone, the whole coliseum.

I wonder if Lars will bring it up on his show. I never listen to rush jr.

I would guess there were close to a thousand people trying to buy tickets also.

Well to be honest the days are changing fast.
As of this year just over 60% of the voters in this nation are women and minorities. I think things are going to get shaken up in the next election.
Tonight gave me more hope that America is waking up to the lies of our goverment.
People are getting tired of buying the bs of terrorist threat behind every tree and the goverment using it to pass whatever they want on the right wing agenda

Who is Ann Coulter? I have listened to Savage on the radio but he's on the same time as NPR so I don't catch him too often. I have hear Michael Moore spouting his lies and made this decision on my own, in about 15 seconds.

Rush should be doing hard time for illeagl drug possesion. each oxy whaterever painkiller he had counts as an individual felony. he had something like 20,000 pills.
If he were an ordinary guy he would be in jail not rehab. His retoric over the last years as totaly supported the those drug laws for him to be in jail not rehab.

He has now declared that it is impossible to fly a jet aircraft into a tall building at 600 miles an hour plus. So how did they do it Michael? Or was it an accident? Yeah right, I beleive that. Or maybe a CIA plot? Sure. Didn't everyone see the black helicopters guiding them in?

He also declared that there is no threat from terrorism. It has all been made up. It's all hype from the Bush adminstration.

I continue to find it interesting that some are unable to understand what these "characters" are doing. They have defined themselves as the extreme right (Rush) or extreme left (Moore). Knowing this they can be expected to spout the most extreme rhetoric from their chosen side. They play on our fears in order to further entrench those on their side and anger those on the other, and most importantly make money for themselves.

I have always found it amusing how some, and I hope the minority, will believe everything said by these "characters" and will further spout their words no matter how radical and backward they may be. These folks tend to be pretty naive and we can only hope they, at some time, can open their eyes and form their own opinions about the world.

To call those living outside Portland rednecks on the decline is offensive to everyone no matter what your party affiliation. It is an ignorant statement which I can only hope was spoken in desperation.

Open your eyes, its a bigger world that the talking heads lead you to believe.

Loops this is a life in general forum on a fishing board. Not a true gun rights forum. This board is edited and moderated. although from what I have seen lefties are presacuted by the righties on this board no matter what the topic. Not due to management. just members and that is fine too.

Michael Moore never said he wants hunting ended just brought up questions why we have so much gun violence here in the states.

I think fishbane has one point. We all love to fish but will never agree each other on all issues.

This thread was not started to support gun control just to mention over ten thousand people from accross the state( not just city vs country) gathered to hear his point of view and perhaps discuss them.

There were people from all over the state including southern Oregon listening to him.

Do we have any less of right to support MM then the people who support Rush or Lars and other right wing mouth's ?

I think not. Keta himself supports free speach and the constitution no matter who it is. so he says.

And ling if the right wing media was fair and ballanced. The scarborough story would have been splashed on the news like shandra levy was.
Or the fact Jeb bush was having an affair. But it is not a fair and ballaned media left or right.

Being that I was there and almost none of you were.
I can say for a fact that Michael Moore did not say he was going to lars Larson.

He asked the audience for the number of a brother in law that was conservative to call. The crowd call out for Lars Larson. Moore called information on the speaker phone. In the mean time certain people started bringing up the phone numbers of Lars and others. This whole process burned some time before they got thru to Lars numbers.

Both men are public figures and have to deal with what comes from their views. Just like we have to deal with what people say about our views as we post them as members of this board.

Michael Moores house was vandalized and recieved death threats. So has Lars I am sure. Thats one reason Lars carries a revolver in the small of his back. It was in plain view of a photo published of him during his radio show. Thats how I know he has one there.

Lars has to suck it up just like Moore or any other public figure. But Lars will whine on it while Moore moves on to the next city.

Was it all staged perhaps

It really does not matter who want's to take what from whom and where. I just used fishing or hunting as an example of liberties that some people feel the gov. needs to control access to. There is still a "D" on my voters card, but I am sick to my stomach at what I see coming from the far left. MM is one them. I am disgusted at the rights being given to illegals. How many of you are aware that the "independant contractor" phenomenon (see the wallmart thread) is highly driven by illegals with fake ID & many different business names set up by the companies they work for with a wink, do you think these people pay taxes?? Who do you think pays their "health insurance" (see Oregon health plan)aka you & I. What do you think that costs us?? Would you believe that Oregons $$ "problems" would be as great if these kind of things would stop?? I also fear what the far left will do the same things but in different ways, as in preserving things such as marine sanctuaries to the point that we are not allowed to enjoy & harvest these areas as we do now, & turning us into a nation that speaks spanish. Dont misunderstand, I have & will cross lines voting. The problem is that there does not appear to be anymore "moderates" left. Where are the guys like Tom Mccall (sp), Wayne Morse, JFK etc these people had principle & would legislate on principle whether it was the party line or not. Now all I see is the politics of personal destruction. Its become very difficult to find anyone I can even remotely agree with & trust with my vote. I'm very worried about the direction we are going & what kind of country my Son will have when he gets older. Will he have the same kind of opportunity & breaks I had, will he be able to live a comfortable life & enjoy the same things I have if he is willing to work hard as I have or will he have to work hard just to survive.
