Default Pond Bass

I have a few "unique" bass ponds that i fish behind my house. Two of the best ones are groundwater fed....meaning they are below the river table so they are full by the seapage from the river. When the river is high the pond is fuller and cooler....vice versa when the river is low. Will this cause the bass to shut down earlier in fall because the water is getting cooler faster than say a isolated farm pond?. about a week ago i was nailing them on plastics, spinnerbaits and cranks....now...nothing??? I changed my approach....slowly worked jigs in the deeper holes, slowly worked smaller spinnerbaits....nothin? And im not quite up to date on all the new bass tackle....(im mainly a salmon steelhead guy) so is there somthing else i should be using?

slowly work a 4 inch black worm on drop offs. If that doesn't work just work slow with soft plastics really shallow. the fish are either moving towards their winter haunts or their still feeding in the shallows with the warmest water.

with the weather canging this week they will move to thicker cover or move deaper. Slower is the key like others have said.

Have you tried topwater? I would at least give it a shot. Sometimes reaction strikes are a good way to catch the bigger more lethargic fish.
