I Com 504 position not acquired?

After entering my mmsi number in my I Com 504 vhf radio I have noticed that my radio has been reading "no position acquired". I have a Lowrance LMS 337. Any ideas why my Lowrance is not sending the position to the radio? The mmsi number loaded up the first time and I only noticed that the radio showed no position a few weeks later. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Sharkie

How do you have them connected? If you can, please provide the wire colors you have connected between the two units.

Assuming you have it wired correctly (have had it display your postion before) then I would make sure that you check the following---

1. Press

MENU|MENU|to SYSTEM SETUP|ENT.

2. Pressto COMMUNICATIONS PORT|ENT|to CONFIGURE NMEA|ENT.

Then make sure port1 is set to NMEA in/out

Thanks Hewes Fisher I will give that a try this weekend. Yes it always showed position before so I hope this fixes the problem.
