Just in Time for Saturday's Game
This was sent to me by an OSU grad. Remember, I'm just the messenger.
John
An elementary teacher starts a new job at a school in Corvallis, and is trying to make a good impression.
On her first day, explains to her class that she's a Beavers fan.
She asks the class to raise their hands if they too are Beaver fans.
Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl. The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says “Jessica, why didn't you raise your hand?”
“Because I'm not a Beavers fan,” she replied. The teacher, still shocked, asked: “Well, if you're not a Beavers fan, then who do you support?”
“I'm a Ducks fan, and proud of it,” Jessica replied.
The teacher could not believe her ears. “Jessica, why are you a Ducks fan?”
“Because my Mom and Dad are from Eugene and my Mom is a Ducks fan and my dad is a Ducks fan, so I'm a Ducks fan too.”
“Well, said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, “That's no reason for you to be a Ducks fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your Mom was a prostitute and your Dad was a drug addict and a car thief, what would you be then?”
“Oh, that’s easy,” Jessica said, “I'd be a Washington fan.”

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Losing 24 of the last 26 to UW will make you cranky like that, you know.
Here's to a hard-fought, injury-free game.

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Dawgs, you know what needs to be done so go and do it on the Beavers.
The cougs will take care of the Cardinals in easy fashion so USC is the team to worry about. (I guess we could throw in our achille's heel, Washington (For you DanS ))
Bill Doba is doing an amazing job for Wazzu. He is actually recognized for it on ESPN.com in a Midterm report.

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Hey thanks Carp...........
I could use some good news out of the Dawgs tonight. Suffice it to say there hasn't been enough of that coming out of UW recently.

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Well the cougs won another one.
I'll be the fist to admit that we should have played a lot better then we did against Stanford, but a win is a win. We need to step it up when we meet the beavs, but we are not worried.
GO PAC-10 Champs!

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Well, I'm happy to see the "laundry fest" is over. I've never SEEN so many flags in one game.
At least the Huskies decided to play an entire game this week.

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
I want to chum. Why is it the Dawgs always manage to put together a good game when they play the Beavs?
Good Game, Huskies.

15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, Russ.

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Russ, I wouldn't wory about it too much, them not playing if it be true. I mean look at who they lost to before the Beavs took a beating. I don't think the team that played Nevada was hopped up on anything in that appearance.
I guess that kinda adds insult to injury to the beaver fans.

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
Wow.......... one of the ugliest football games I have ever seen.
Probably high point of the low life garbage going on was the fighting between the Huskie defensive players with each other!!

Re: Just in Time for Saturday's Game
I liked that Beav receiver spiking the ball on the sideline (woo hoo we completed a pass!) and it bounced right into the official's face. What style, what class.
Here's to Steven Jackson on the cover of SI before Nov. 22 ...
