Default Beaver parking problems

Beaver fans unite! Can't you guys even get parking places for the footbal players? Cripes, they get free parking when they are losing and then when they start winning they get parking tickets!

C'mon there must be some wealthy alums out there that can spring for a parking lot?

Did anyone notice that article in the Oregonian yesterday?

Sorry coach, I was late to practice because I couldn't find a parking place.

Believe me, I support the football team as much or more than anyone, but I think they need to have a little consideration in this matter. First off, this 'parking crisis' was created due to the new construction that is going on around campus. Everyone involved with OSU benefits from these improvements and new buildings that are going up, and as such, everyone may have to give a little to get that benefit. Also, there's no other group on campus that I know of that gets to park for free. Faculty has to pay their dues as well in order to have the priviledge of parking on campus. So why should our student-athletes be placed above anyone else?

Another thing, there is still free parking located near the football facilities if they should choose to drive. Granted, it's not directly in front of the facilities anymore, but it's not that far. Plus, I believe there is some sort of shuttle system around campus they could use.

Also, the parking permits are only something like $175 a year. For many of these athletes that are on campus year around, that works out to $15 a month. That's one less half case of beer each month (or if you prefer the cheap stuff like I did in college, one full case  ).

Lastly, GO BEAVS!! A big win this weekend sets up a HUGE game against the Cougs in Pullman. I like the way this season is progressing. Duck fans, how's your season going?

For game days people should utilize the game day shuttles!
Park downtown and ride the shuttle. It will get you to and from the stadium with little stress. Now getting out of town is a different matter.

Go Beavs!!

That is lame, players should get a permit paid for by contributions from your wealthy and generous alumni. You do have wealthy and generous alumni, don't you?

Yeah, I would like to see what happens when they get that new expansion built. There is not enough parking as it is. Where are those additional thousands going to park?
