Some more interesting info for newer members. Some of this took me years to find out!

Below the post there is a post total for the member. Click on that, and it shows their most recent posts.

Try the buttons on the top right! Home will take you to the main forums. Profile is where you change your personal data. Userlist, is where you can search for particulars on members. Help is a faq about how we run ifish. Active is the most active topics on ifish and search, the most popular tool, is where you can search all of ifish for info. Make sure you make use of the drop down menu, so that you can search the archives of 2000, 2001, and 2002.

OK.. more?

Lessee...
If you click on the moderators names, up top left, you can view their profiles.
Let's talk about posts and all the things that you can do.

On a post, look at the top right. Those little pictures...

The first one is a file folder. You can edit your post there, if you are the author.
The second file folder is reply with quote. Frankly, I never use this one, and don't know how it works very well!
The third one, the one with the exclamation mark is to report a post to a moderator. This is handy with the classified ads that you successfully run. Please use this to report that we may delete a post. Or, use it if you find a post offensive, or outside of the ifish acceptable use policy. We rely on you to help us out by doing that. When you use it, no one knows you report it except for the moderators, so don't be shy. We appreciate the use of that feature, and like I said, rely on you to help ifish be a better community.
OK, you know about clicking on the users name for their profile... On top of their post, you can click on the little file folder to work your way down the page.
Now, let's move to the bottom of the post. If the poster has private messaging enabled, their will be an icon with two little people. Click that to send them a PM.
If they have a home page, it will look like a little house. Click that to go to their home page.
Next, is an envelope. That is for e mailing, either privately, or through the ifish board, depending on how they have it set.

Moving across to your right we have:

Posts: # | From: hometown, OR | Registered: Sep 2000

The only live link there, is the Posts, where I told you, you can view their last posts.

Don't forget about ifish's Print ready feature! If you click on that, it will give you a better option for printing, taking away much of the color ink that you'd have to use, if you print it otherwise. It's called "Printer-friendly view of this topic" on the lower left.

The last thing is the "Go Fish" drop down menu. Because it doesn't work well to use your back button on ifish, this is where I navigate back to the original forum I was viewing, or to another forum. There exists a bug in IE that prevents the back button from working well. Use this! It works much better!

Last of all, don't forget to make use of the ifish sponsors at the bottom of each ifish page!

That's all for me, and what a mouthful!
