Default Cirque du Soleil, Alegria

WOW!!! Went to the show last night with the wife, made a weekend out of it so I missed opening day of duck season. Not to disappointed in that because it may get me more kitchen passes later in the season. Anyway, the show. What can I say? It was something you have to see. The performers are so GOOD at their craft. They do things that I wouldn't even dream about doing, it would kill me. It was definitely worth the time and money, besides the time alone with the wife. Don't get much of that anymore since the children came along. If you get a chance to go see this, you WILL NOT be disappointed.

I second that.

I saw Mystère by Cirque du Soleil in Vegas in 96 around when it first started runnin(forget which casino it was at). That was pretty damm cool. Definitely something most people can really enjoy.

Yeah, I'll 'third' that after sitting four rows back from the stage last night.

It's not just the pure-power athletic performances, but how easy they make it look. No grimaces, no panting. Definitely super skilled performers and amazing that they've been able to develop such skills so early - I'd guess most are less than 24 years old.

As is appropriate for this LIG board, I did detect a conservative bias at the event - namely at the concession stand where popcorn&drink was $10

Awesome show these people put on...I'm starting to think that after a week of laying hardwood floors..I might be able to do some of that stuff myself now...if I could only stand up...

Their shows are really a feast for the senses, but what really surprised me the first time we went, was that they even bring their own flooring! They think of everything.
