I can not beleive my luck. I got out of the house at 4:30 this morning and went to the coast I first stopped by the best bait shop in Oregon (tillamook bait) and talked to my good friend dennis and got his views on a stream that we both fish he said it was good so off I went. I got to the river and hiked for 13.5 round trip miles only to miss my one bite of the day on a jig

I could not believe it .
On the way back we noticed a bald eagle, and my partner Lee and I both said "he must be leaving with the fish" at the same time
on the way back Lee and I stopped by the wilson and fished a couple of holes that have been good to me this winter and at the last hole after 4 guide boats and a private boat got through we started to fish it and a man walks up and ask's if it is ok if he joins us.

I about feel over when he actually asked and of course had no problem at all with that. I must admitt looking at his rig I thought this guy has no chance it was a thrown together mix of a huge hook and a size 12 corkie with a string with 2 small split shot as weight and the hole we where in was probably 15 feet deep. to my amazement on his first cast he puts the hurt to a 10-11 lb clipped buck!!!
After that Lee and I caught the drift that it was not our day and walked out and like clock work when we got to the car another bald eagle flew over us!!!!
I just had to vent a little. if the guy who caught that fish see's this great job and if it works stick to it.
