Default over 50 smallmouth (((PHOTOS)))

I fishing for smallies near the dalles. I was after bigger bass now that fall has started. I could have got over 100 bass but I was fishing deeper. I Focused on 15 to 25 feet of water. Hooked and lost two big smallies (about 4lbs or more)just came unbottoned. I did landed one at 4 lbs 5oz. and several over two pounds. The smaller bass where on the bank but the bigger bass were 20 to 30 yards off the bank. The lure of choice was the wacky rigged senko (3 inch like normal). The better fish liked it worked real slow and the bite was hard to detect. So a sensitive rod really helped. I ended up with about 55 bass for the day. The color they liked best was black. The shad fry are VERY thick and the last couple days the fishing has been a little slow on the river. The bass are busting on the shad all over and they are filled to the fills with shad. there are billions of shad fry in the river right now.
I will post photos next week.
Roger

You're one of the guys that know what to
do with free time on your hands.

Nice pre-fall bass.

Roger,
I have never fished a Senko wacky. What size and style hook are you using?
Are you hooking it up dead center or off center?
Picture of set up by chance?
Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy your posts?

Nicely done Roger!

Definitely agree with last post. Search for exbassguide on youtube. Roger is great at sharing knowledge and rigging. Very helpful info.

I need to get back up there before it's too late.
